Policy
How we work
Email Vox is organised into topic desks. Here is how a story gets from the source to the page.
How stories are made
- Every day we scan a fixed list of trusted sources, respecting robots.txt and paywalls.
- An AI model scores new stories for relevance to people who send email and drops anything off-topic or already covered.
- For each chosen story, AI writes an original article that combines facts from every source covering it, links back to them and quotes sparingly with attribution.
- A second, independent AI review checks every claim against the sources. Wording that is too close to a source, broken links or missing details stop publication. Articles that fail are rewritten once, then dropped.
- Lead images are created for each story and never show identifiable people, logos, trademarks or real events.
Independence
Advertising and sponsored posts are always labelled and visually distinct. Advertisers have no say in our news coverage, and news is never written to sell a product or service.
Use of AI
We use AI tools to help draft stories, check them against their sources and create illustrations. Every story is based on the public sources it links to.
Mistakes
